The process

Design

In your initial design consultation with our team well have an in-depth chat about your wants, needs and aspirations. Once the cabin for you has been chosen, we will go through the specifications on offer which best meets your project investment. We can help advise on planning and discuss transportation to the desired site. You’ll be able to personalise the cabin by selecting from a range of finishes, fixtures, and fittings.

Among other options, you can pick your preferred.

Build

Once we have an approved design and specification, your cabin is built and finished in our UK workshop. The idea behind prefabrication is that it allows us to ensure the highest possible finish whilst delivering a better value product.

Install

The final stages are passing quality control checks before it leaves our workshop. Having got the transport organised from our initial design discussion your finished cabin is delivered to your chosen site. From here, our expert trades will install it with specialist equipment and arrange any of the services agreed such as electricity and water.– your new Nordic nest cabin is yours and ready to go live!

Planning permission checks and do you need it?

There are 3 key divisions for planning permission for your new cabin. A full planning permission service is available which can incur additional costs.

Holiday rental checks

How to get your business up and running: First things first, you need to decide whether you want to use a third party to advertise for your new Cabin, for example Airbnb or Unique hideaways. Or perhaps you want to create and manage your own website. If this is your first venture into the glamping and holiday let market our advice would be to use a third-party platform to manage bookings, gather relevant fees, and provide additional help with pay-outs and insurances.

Preparing for your cabin – transportation and site access

In our design consultation we’ll disciss site access and means of transportation. We have some great transport contacts we can put you in touch with or alternatively we would be happy to arrange this for you. Some sites may require non-standard procedures and this can result in additional costs outside of our control.
